Honouring Dads

One of the difficulties of fatherhood is its changing nature, especially when compared to the fathers of previous generations. Peter Homan’s says, “Prior to the Industrial Revolution, fathers spent more time at home, often taking ownership of children’s academic and religious educations. Today’s dad is not what he used to be. In fact, he’s a whole lot more.

So what can we ‘give’ this changing breed of male parenthood? Paul gives us an idea in Ephesians 6…

I want us to honour dads, and understand what that looks like, and how that can lead to experiencing ‘shalom’ in this world.
