This passage lays groundwork for where we’re going over coming weeks in a series within a series “strengthening realationships” – husband and wife, parents and children, employer and employee – it begins with this passage
“18 Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit… 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
There’s only one way to cultivate a right relationship with anybody and that’s to be filled with the Spirit of God, filled with praise and gratitude to God so that your heart is overflowing with joy.
Each of us needs help from God’s Word and His Holy Spirit in building capacity into our relationships so that they will endure and flourish.
