The Apostle John in the fourth Gospel makes more references to the Person of the Holy Spirit than in any of the Synoptics. In John 7 Jesus announces “If you are thirsty, come to me!”. John tells us that the ‘rivers of living water’ is a reference to the Holy Spirit. To come to Jesus and to drink is to believe – and out of his belly, our innermost being, will flow rivers of living water – spiritual life and renewal. This message considers the Baptism and the Filling of the Holy Spirit.
