There are a number of people that I am indebted to. My father Supt. Geoff Ling who modelled biblical manhood, what it meant to be a Godly servant and a loving husband and father. Gary Hills my high school English teacher that taught me about English literature and to study alongside a thesaurus and a dictionary. James Buttonshaw who worked out he could live on two days’ work as an architect so that he could devote the rest of his time investing in the lives of young people, me being one of them. Peter McCormack the gifted chippie and Brethren elder that modelled humble servant leadership without the corporate success tag. Then there is my gorgeous wife Robyn that has consistently exuded grace and tolerance in our best and worst days.
