This is no ordinary get rich scheme that Paul gives in 1 Timothy. He says true riches can be found in generous giving. We are to do good, be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that it is a sin to borrow, but it does speak into this important aspect of our financial management – how well we do this determines the extent of our financial freedom (Larry Burkett – Crown Ministries). It doesn’t matter whether you earn a little or a lot, anyone can be plagued by financial bondage brought about by debt.
